HOMELAND
Norry Niven directed this promo for Showtime in Cape Town, South Africa. We turned a city block in Cape Town to look like a city block in Afghanistan. In addition to scheduling the day and running the set I coordinated the
timing of the rocket and gas bomb with the camera car shot of Clare Dane driving away in the car in addition to timing the red scarf falling to the ground as the rocket bomb went off in the background. We shot this in 1 12 hour day.
AMERICAN IDOL
This commercial was shot in Los Angeles, CA at Milk Studios and was directed by Norry Niven. Working with these 4 celebs was fun because they were professional and nice. Knowing how to keep the day moving with multiple celebs at the same time and their entourages can prove to be quite challenging. We shot this spot in 1 12 hr day.
ACURA - NSX
This commercial was shot in Austin, Bastrop, and Big Bend State Park in Texas and was directed by Ryan Gibb. It was a multi day shoot with multiple hero cars, Russian arm car and a large crew. I did one of the biggest lockups I've ever done for the downtown high speed night driving scenes in Austin. I used 14 Police cars and 23 PA's to lockup 7 blocks of a downtown street in the middle of the night so that the hero car and Rusian arm car could travel 80mph through ejiba smoke and run through intersections to get our shots. All went well and the client was very happy.
This project was both fun and demanding and was directed by Olof Lindh. We shot at 7 locations with 175 actors over 4 days in Austin, Tx..
